CSR (Corporate Social Responsability)

CTPS constantly works to improve its corporate social responsibility.
In fact, our core business concerns the sale of graphite electrodes.
The latter are an essential component for the global recycling industry, since they are the only product capable of conducting energy and withstanding the heat necessary to melt scrap metal.
Graphite electrodes therefore contribute to the mitigation of climate change as they allow us to reduce the use of raw materials and the quantity of untreated waste.

For graphite electrodes we have also already undertaken the following initiatives:

Our production is ISO 14001 approved and hold:
Conforms to the Standard GB/T24001-2016/ISO14001:2015

This certification is issued to demonstrate our producer capacity to:

  • Reducing operating costs by streamlining the use of raw materials
  • Reducing waste and emissions
  • Cutting energy costs
  • Reducing insurance premiums
  • Monitoring fulfilment of the relevant legal requirements
  • Fast-tracking permit applications to regulatory authorities
  • Protecting the environment and making informed use of resources
  • Improving your business’s image among stakeholders

In production and distribution, we also follow:

LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)

From raw material to production is done by our producer, but during production we can add an antioxidant coating capable of reducing the consumption of graphite electrodes by up to 20% with a consequent reduction in CO2 emissions.

From production to distribution CTPS is trying to use vessels that use Mix-Biomethane as much as possible.

This product enables a significant reduction in CO2 emissions per container and a massive reduction in air pollutant emissions.

We are working to reduce paper usage by storing all our documents on servers and printing our company branding on all pallets instead of using paper logos as we have in the past.
Moreover our staff follows ESG (Environmental Social Governance) refresher courses.

The goal of our company is to move more towards sustainability, aligning with fundamental requirements for sustainable development from an economic, environmental, social and corporate governance point of view, based on a series of operating standards that will inspire the new strategies of the company.

End of life of our products is in hand of our customers:
graphite electrodes, being consumable material, are mostly consumed during the melting or refining of steel.
